Aims
- Uplands
aims to provide high quality specialist nursing care for people who
have serious enduring mental health problems in an environment that is
conducive to meeting all their needs
Objectives
- To
provide systematic assessment of each resident's mental, pyhsical and
social care needs and develop care plans that are regularly evaluated
and reviewed. (Where possible having resident and carer involvement).
- To
enable the development of the optimal potential of each resident to
achieve maximum quality of life in mental, pyhsical and social
functioning.
- To actively seek and respond to the view expressed by residents and their relatives.
- To provide information, advice and support to residents and their representatives.
- To ensure that staff are valued and have the necessary skills and training to deliver high quality nursing care.
- To
ensure nursing care interventions support and complement local
statutory and non-statutory agencies, primary health care and other
specialist services.
- To operate within the mental Health Act 1983 and The Code of Practice.
- To be responsive to external influences such as research and development.
